23 There was reclining in front of Jesus’ bosom one of his disciples, and Jesus loved* him.+

26 Therefore Jesus, seeing his mother and the disciple whom he loved*+ standing by, said to his mother: “Woman, see! Your son!”

2 Therefore she ran and came to Simon Peter and to the other disciple,+ for whom Jesus had affection, and she said to them: “They have taken away the Lord* out of the memorial tomb,+ and we do not know where they have laid him.”

7 Therefore that disciple whom Jesus used to love*+ said to Peter:+ “It is the Lord!”* Hence Simon Peter, upon hearing that it was the Lord, girded about himself his top garment, for he was naked, and plunged into the sea.
