7 Jehovah then appeared to Aʹbram and said: “To your offspring*+ I am going to give this land.”+ So he built an altar there to Jehovah, who had appeared to him.

5 And yet, he did not give him any inheritance in it, no, not even enough to put his foot on; but he promised to give it to him as a possession and after him to his offspring,*+ though as yet he had no child.
