52 You must drive away all the inhabitants of the land from before you and destroy all their carvings of stone+ and all their metal statues,*+ and you should demolish all their sacred high places.+
2 Jehovah your God will give them over to you, and you will defeat them.+ You should without fail devote them to destruction.+ You must not make any covenant with them nor show them any favor.+
24 He will give their kings into your hand,+ and you will wipe out their names from under the heavens.+ Nobody will stand up to you,+ until you have exterminated them.+
