30 Jesus asked him: “What is your name?” He said: “Legion,” for many demons had entered into him. 31 And they kept pleading with him not to order them to go away into the abyss.+

4 Certainly God did not refrain from punishing the angels who sinned,+ but threw them into Tarʹta·rus,*+ putting them in chains* of dense darkness to be reserved for judgment.+

20 And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven with the key of the abyss+ and a great chain in his hand. 2 He seized the dragon,+ the original serpent,+ who is the Devil+ and Satan,+ and bound him for 1,000 years.
