Service Meeting:
Monthly Theme: Walk as wise persons by “making the best use of your time.”—Eph. 5:15, 16.
10 min: Local needs. May include demonstration of magazine presentations.
5 min: The Literature Offer for May and June. Discussion. Consider features of the literature that will be offered. Include a demonstration.
15 min: Preaching in Seldom-Worked Territory—A Good Use of Time! Discussion by elder, preferably one who has preached in seldom-worked territory. Play the video Witnessing in Isolated Territory—Australia. (Go to jw.org, and look under ABOUT US > ACTIVITIES.) Discuss the positive effects that preaching in seldom-worked territory had on the family in the video. Interview any in the congregation who have served in seldom-worked territory. What positive effects did it have on their family, their ministry, and their spirituality? What kind of planning was involved? If any wish to preach in seldom-worked territory, the elders will be happy to provide assistance. Emphasize that preaching in seldom-worked territory is a fine way to make good use of our time.
