ISAIAH 65-66

Song 24 and Prayer | Opening Comments (1 min.)

TREASURES FROM GOD’S WORD

1. We Love Our Spiritual Paradise!

(10 min.)

In the spiritual paradise, God’s servants have abundant spiritual food (Isa 65:13; cl 275 ¶12, 14)

Our spiritual paradise helps us to cope with pain and distress (Isa 65:14-17; w24.04 22 ¶9-10)

The world has nothing that compares with the peace and safety we enjoy (Isa 65:25; w24.04 23 ¶13)

DEFINITION: The term “spiritual paradise” describes the environment in which we worship Jehovah. In it we enjoy a peaceful relationship with Jehovah and with one another.

Collage: Brothers and sisters experiencing the benefits of the spiritual paradise. 1. They happily speak with one another at a Kingdom Hall. 2. They enjoy working together on outdoor maintenance at a Kingdom Hall. 3. In a prison cell, an older brother speaks encouragingly to a younger brother. Cards and letters from their brothers and sisters are taped to the wall. 4. An ill sister in a hospital enjoys a visit from a couple. The wife holds the sister’s hand, and the husband has a basket filled with fruit and cards.

LIVING AS CHRISTIANS

Song 80

8. Are You Missing Out?

(15 min.) Discussion.

Collage: Scenes from the video “What Will You Do ‘for the Sake of the Good News’?” 1. Brother Tomohiro Nishimura works at Bethel in the Bindery. 2. Sister Happiness Mabho works on her computer at a translation office. 3. Rayner and Keziah Fernando greet a brother at a branch facility where they serve as construction servants. 4. Brother George Telan, Jr., works with other brothers in the Bethel Service Department. 5. Sister Ramona Welsch conducts a Bible study.

Are you considering entering the full-time ministry? Do you ever worry that you might miss out on certain things in life if you do? Or have you ever wondered, ‘Why make sacrifices to do more if all of Jehovah’s worshippers will receive everlasting life?’ If so, remember that Jehovah “will not hold back anything good” from those who trust in him. (Ps 84:11, 12) It is only when we hold back from giving Jehovah our best that we truly miss out.

Jehovah’s blessings are not limited to the future. Play the VIDEO What Will You Do “for the Sake of the Good News”? Then ask the audience:

  • What blessings have these young ones experienced as a result of making themselves available?

What if you do not have the circumstances to enter full-time service? Jehovah blesses those who give him their best. So continue to give him your best, knowing that he will “pour out on you a blessing until there is nothing lacking.”—Mal 3:10.
