“At once they abandoned their nets and followed him.” (Matt. 4:18-22)

True, the Bible says that Peter and his companions abandoned their literal nets “at once.” However, Peter and his brother did not make that decision hastily. They had come to know and accept Jesus as the Messiah more than six months earlier. (John 1:35-42)
