Njengoba elalele lezimfundiso, owesifazane othile osesixukwini ushukunyiselwa ukuba amemeze kakhulu: “Sibusisiwe isisu esakuthwalayo namabele owawancelayo.” Njengoba isifiso sabo bonke abesifazane abangamaJuda siwukuba umama womprofethi futhi ikakhulukazi uMesiya, kuyaqondakala ukuthi lona owesifazane wayengase akusho lokhu. Nokho, ngokushesha uJesu uyamqondisa lona owesifazane ngokuphathelene nomthombo wangempela wenjabulo. “Yebo,” esabela, “kodwa kakhulu babusisiwe abalizwa izwi likaNkulunkulu, balilondoloze.” UJesu akazange neze asikisele ukuthi unina, uMariya, kufanele anikezwe inhlonipho ekhethekile. Kunalokho, wabonisa ukuthi injabulo yeqiniso itholakala ekubeni yinceku ethembekile kaNkulunkulu, hhayi kunoma ibuphi ubuhlobo obungokwenyama noma okufezwayo.
Njengoba enza eGalile, uJesu nalapha uyaqhubeka esola abantu eJudiya ngenxa yokucela isibonakaliso esivela ezulwini. Ubatshela ukuthi ngeke banikezwe isibonakaliso ngaphandle kwesibonakaliso sikaJona. UJona waba isibonakaliso kokubili ngezinsuku zakhe ezintathu esenhlanzini nangokushumayela kwakhe ngesibindi, okwaphumela ekubeni abaseNineve bashukunyiselwe ukuba baphenduke. “Bhekani,” kusho uJesu, “lapha kukhona okukhulu kunoJona.” Ngokufanayo, indlovukazi yaseSheba yamangazwa ukuhlakanipha kukaSolomoni. “Bhekani,” kuphinda uJesu, “lapha kukhona okukhulu kunoSolomoni.”
UJesu uchaza ukuthi lapho umuntu ekhanyisa isibani, akasibeki esitha noma ngaphansi kwesitsha kodwa othini ukuze abantu babone ukukhanya. Mhlawumbe usikisela ukuthi ukufundisa nokwenza izimangaliso phambi kwalabantu abalukhuni abasezilalelini zakhe kufaniswa nokusithibeza ukukhanya kwesibani. Amehlo ezibukeli ezinjalo awamahle, noma awabonisi kahle, ngakho injongo ehloselwe lezimangaliso zakhe ayifezwa.
UJesu usanda kukhipha idemoni futhi ubangele ukuba isimungulu sikhulume. Lokhu kufanele kushukumisele abantu abanamehlo amahle, noma abonisa kahle, ukuba badumise lesisenzo esihle kakhulu futhi bamemezele izindaba ezinhle! Nokho, kulabagxeki, lokhu akukhona okwenzekayo. Ngakho uJesu uyaphetha: “Ngakho qaphela ukuba ukukhanya okukuwe kungabi-ngubumnyama.
