Kulezozimo, iBhayibheli liphawula inhloko (umzimba, isibusiso, ukuqonda, indlu) echazwa elithi “ongokomoya.” Kodwa kwezinye izimo, umqondo nokuhunyushwa okufanelekile kwelithi “ongokomoya” kumelwe kunqunywe umongo wendaba. Ngokwesibonelo, eyoku-1 Korinte 2:14, 15 iqhathanisa isimo sengqondo somuntu ongokwenyama nese-ho pneu·ma·ti·kosʹ, ngokunengqondo elisho “umuntu ongokomoya.”

UPawulu wathi: “Kepha senahlanzwa, senangcweliswa, senalungisiswa ngegama leNkosi uJesu Kristu nangoMoya kaNkulunkulu wethu.” (1 Korinte 6:11; 12:13) Yebo, wonke athola “isibonakaliso salokhu okwakuza, okungukuthi, umoya.” (2 Korinte 5:5, NW) Nokho, akuwona wonke ayethole isipho esikhethekile ngomoya ongcwele. Futhi kubonakala ukuthi amaningi ayehlatshwa umxhwele ukukhuluma ngezilimi, enikeza lesipho ukubaluleka okungafanele. UPawulu wabhala ukuze alungise ukucabanga kwawo futhi waphawula ukuthi izilimi zazingezuzuzisa abantu abaningi njengesipho sokuprofetha. Ekuphetheni kwesahluko 12, uPawulu waluleka abaseKorinte: “Zondelelani iziphiwo ezinkulu.”—1 Korinte 12:28-31.

LawomaKristu kwakungadingekile ukuba afune ukugcotshwa ngomoya, ngoba kakade ayesegcotshiwe. Ngokunengqondo uPawulu wayesho “izipho” zomoya, lezo, ekugcineni kwesahluko 12, awakhuthaza ukuba azifune. Yingakho, i-New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures ihumusha eyoku-1 Korinte 14:1 ngalendlela: “Qhubekani nifuna ngentshiseko izipho ezingokomoya.” Ezinye izinguqulo zeBhayibheli zihumusha elithi ta pneu·ma·ti·kaʹ ngokuthi “izipho ezingokomoya” noma “izipho zoMoya.”
Sinalowomqondo, siyaphawula ukuthi ngasekupheleni kwesahluko 14, uPawulu uhlanganisa ukuprofetha ne-pneu·ma·ti·kosʹ. Njengasevesini lokuqala, umongo usikisela ukuthi uPawulu wayesho ukuphiwa umoya. Yebo, wonke amaKristu, kungakhathaliseki ukuthi ayenesipho sokuprofetha noma yisiphi esinye isipho somoya, kwakudingeka ukuba amukele futhi alalele leseluleko uPawulu asibhala ngokuphathelene nendlela izinto okwakufanele zenzeke ngayo ebandleni.
