Math. 26:26-29: “Besadla, uJesu wathabatha isinkwa, wasibusisa, wasihlephula, wanika abafundi bakhe, wathi: Thabathani nidle; lokhu kungumzimba wami. Wayesethabatha isitsha, wabonga, wabanika, wathi: Phuzani nonke kuso; ngokuba lokhu kuyigazi lami lesivumelwano elithululwa ngenxa yabaningi kukho ukuthethelelwa kwezono. Cabangela inkulumo ethi “lokhu kungumzimba wami” nethi “lokhu kuyigazi lami” ngombono wenye inkulumo esobala esetshenziswe emiBhalweni. Esikhundleni sokucaphuna uJesu njengowathi ngokuqondene nesitsha, “Phuzani nonke kuso; ngokuba lokhu kuyigazi lami lesivumelwano,” lenkulumo wayibeka ngalendlela: “Lesisitsha siyisivumelwano esisha egazini lami.” Ngokuqinisekile lokhu kwakungasho ukuthi lesisitsha sasiguqulwe ngokuyisimangaliso ngendlela ethile saba isivumelwano esisha. UJesu wayesho ukuthini ngenkulumo yakhe ekuJohane 6:53-57?
“Khona uJesu wathi kubo: Ngiqinisile, ngiqinisile ngithi kini: Uma ningayidli inyama yeNdodana yomuntu, niphuze igazi layo, aninakuphila phakathi kwenu. Odla inyama yami, aphuze igazi lami, unokuphila okuphakade; mina ngiyakumvusa ngomuhla wokuphela. Ngokuba inyama yami ingukudla isibili, negazi lami lingukuphuza isibili. Ingabe lokhu kumelwe kuqondwe njengokusho ukuthi kwakumelwe bayidle ngokoqobo inyama kaJesu futhi baphuze igazi lakhe? Ingabe kumane nje “kuyimfihlo ejulile”?
IBhayibheli liyabhekisela ezimfihlakalweni zaphezulu, noma izimfihlakalo ezingcwele. Kodwa azikho kulezi eziphikisana namaqiniso abekwe ngokukhanyayo ngokomBhalo. Ngokuqondene nalabo ababeka amasiko abo ngaphambi kwemiBhalo, uJesu wathi: “Bazenzisi, waprofetha kahle ngani uIsaya, ethi: Lesisizwe singidumisa ngezindebe zomlomo, kepha inhliziyo yaso ikude nami; kodwa bangikhonza ngeze befundisa izifundiso eziyimiyalo yabantu.”—Math. 15:7-9.
