Ukuphila Nenkonzo KaJesu

NGESIKHATHI uJesu esesenyakatho (eSamariya noma eGalile), abaFarisi bambuza ngokuza koMbuso. Bakholelwa ukuthi uyoza ngesenzakalo esiyindumezulu, kodwa uJesu uthi: “Umbuso ka Tixo a u fiki u bonwa. A ku yi kutyiwo ukuthi, Nangu, nokuba, nanguya! bheka, umbuso ka Tixo u pakati kwenu.” (Esd.)
Amazwi kaJesu athi, “upakati kwenu,” ngezinye izikhathi ahunyushwe ngokuthi, “uphakathi kini.” Ngakho abanye baye bacabanga ukuthi uJesu wayesho ukuthi uMbuso kaNkulunkulu ubusa ezinhliziyweni zezinceku zikaNkulunkulu. Kodwa, ngokusobala, uMbuso kaNkulunkulu awukho ezinhliziyweni zalabaFarisi abangakholwa uJesu akhuluma nabo. Nokho, uphakathi kwabo, njengoba iNkosi emisiwe yoMbuso kaNkulunkulu, uJesu Kristu, ilapho phakathi kwabo.
Cishe kungemva kokuba abaFarisi sebehambile lapho uJesu eqhubeka ekhuluma nabafundi bakhe ngokuza koMbuso. Ucabanga ikakhulukazi ngokuba khona kwakhe kwesikhathi esizayo emandleni oMbuso lapho exwayisa: “Bayakuthi kini: Bhekani, nansiya; bhekani, nansi; maningayi, ningalandeli [laboMesiya bamanga]. Ngokuba njengonyazi, nxa lunyazima kwenye indawo phansi kwezulu, lukhanya luze lufike kwenye indawo phansi kwezulu, yoba-njalo iNdodana yomuntu ngosuku lwayo.” Ngakho-ke, njengoba nonyazi lubonakala endaweni ebanzi, uJesu ubonisa ukuthi ubufakazi bokuba khona kwakhe emandleni oMbuso buyobonakala ngokucacile kubo bonke abafisa ukububona.
Khona-ke uJesu uqhathanisa lokhu nezenzakalo zasendulo ukuze abonise ukuthi ziyakuba yini izimo zengqondo zabantu ngesikhathi sokuba khona kwakhe kwesikhathi esizayo. Uyachaza: “Njengokuba kwenzeka emihleni kaNowa, kuyakuba-njalo nasemihleni yeNdodana yomuntu . . . Kanjalo njengokuba kwenzeka nasemihleni kaLoti, babedla, bephuza, bethenga, bethengisa, betshala, bakha; kepha ngosuku uLoti aphuma ngalo eSodoma lana umlilo nesibabule kuvela ezulwini, kwababhubhisa bonke; kuyakuba-njalo ngosuku eyakwambulwa ngalo iNdodana yomuntu.”
UJesu akasho ukuthi abantu bosuku lukaNowa nolukaLoti babhujiswa ngenxa yokuphishekela kwabo imisebenzi evamile yokudla, ukuphuza, ukuthenga, ukuthengisa, ukutshala, nokwakha. Ngisho noNowa noLoti nemikhaya yabo babezenza lezinto. Kodwa abanye babenza lemisebenzi yansuku zonke bengasayikhathaleli intando kaNkulunkulu, futhi kungenxa yalesosizathu babhujiswa. Ngesizathu esifanayo, abantu bayobhujiswa lapho uKristu embulwa phakathi nosizi olukhulu kulesimiso sezinto.
Egcizelela ukubaluleka kokusabela ngokushesha ebufakazini bokuba khona kwakhe kwesikhathi esizayo emandleni oMbuso, uJesu uyenezela: “Ngalolosuku oyakuba-phezu kwendlu, impahla yakhe isendlini, kangehli ukuyithatha; njalo nosensimini kangabuyeli emuva. Khumbulani umkaLoti.”
Lapho ubufakazi bokuba khona kukaKristu buvela, abantu abanakuvumela ukuthanda kwabo izinto zabo ezibonakalayo kubavimbele ukuba bathathe isinyathelo esisheshayo. Lapho ephuma eSodoma, umkaLoti ngokusobala wabheka emuva elangazelela izinto ezazisele emuva, futhi waba yinsika kasawoti.
Eqhubeka nencazelo yakhe yesimo esasiyoba khona phakathi nokuba khona kwakhe kwesikhathi esizayo, uJesu utshela abafundi bakhe: “Ngalobobusuku kuyakuba-khona ababili embhedeni munye; omunye uyakuthathwa, omunye ashiywe. Kuyakuba-khona ababili besila ndawonye; omunye uyakuthathwa, omunye ashiywe.”
Ukuthathwa kufana nokungena kukaNowa nomkhaya wakhe emkhunjini nokukhishwa yizingelosi kukaLoti nomkhaya wakhe eSodoma. Kusho insindiso. Ngakolunye uhlangothi, ukushiywa kusho ukubhujiswa.
Manje, abafundi bayabuza: “Kuphi, Nkosi?”
“Lapho kukhona isidumbu, kulapho amanqe eyakubuthana khona,” kuphendula uJesu. Labo ‘abathathwa’ ukuze basindiswe bafana namanqe ahlakaniphile ngokuthi babuthanela ‘esidunjini.’ Isidumbu sibhekisela kuKristu weqiniso ekubeni khona kwakhe okungabonakali emandleni oMbuso nasedilini elingokomoya uJehova alilungiselelayo.
