Kukhona Okwengeziwe Ekuphileni!
UKUCHUMA, ukuthula, ukuphila okuhle! Yeka ukuthi zifiseleka kanjani lezizinto! Kodwa wena uzisebenzisa kanjani izinsuku zakho? Amadoda ondla imikhaya yawo ngokuvamile asebenza emisebenzini angayijabuleli, futhi amaningi njalo abhekene nosongo lokuphelelwa umsebenzi. Amaningi amakhosikazi emizi, nsuku zonke abhekene nezinsuku ezinde zomsebenzi okhathazayo, kungekho nokuncane ukuphunyuzwa kuwo futhi akukho nokwaneliseka okukhulu. 2 Ingabe ngempela yilokho kuphela okukhona ekuphileni? Bheka noma kuphi lapho uthanda khona ezweni, isimiso sibonakala sigula kabi. Sibhekene nezinkinga zamandla (njengophetroli) nokuphela kwamandla emali okudlondlobalayo, ukuntuleka kokudla nokungcola kwendawo esihlala kuyo, ukuvukelwa kwemibuso, izimpi zomshoshaphansi nezishisayo, ukunqwatshelaniswa kwezikhali zenuzi, izinkinga zobuhlanga nokukhulayo ukunganeliseki phakathi kwabantu abaningi. Ayikho ingxenye yomhlaba ekhululekile ezinkingeni eziwusongo ekuphileni kwesintu nasekusindeni kwaso!
3 Abanye abantu babonakala benesimo sengqondo sokuthi, ‘Ubani onendaba, kuphela nje uma kungangithinti?’ Kodwa yeka umbono omfushane! Isiphetho esingenakubalekelwa siwukuthi ngokushesha nje lezinkinga ziyothinta ukuphila kwawo wonke umuntu.
4 Abaholi abangabantu baye bahlongoza amakhambi angaba nokwenzeka—ngesilinganiso somhlaba wonke, kwezomnotho, isayensi nezombangazwe. Kodwa ingabe wonke lawa awazange abonakale eyize futhi enganelisi? Amaningi amacebo aye ahlongozwa ukuba akhulule isintu awazange ‘aqalwe ngisho nokuqalwa.’ Akekho noyedwa kubaholi bezwe onganikeza ikhambi loqobo lesikhathi eside. 6 Abanye abagxeki beBhayibheli baye babhekisela embhalweni ogciniwe weLobukholwa wokuphanga abantu abampofu, nokuchitha igazi eliningi labangenacala ngezimpi zenkolo, ukuqulwa kwamacala ezihlubuki nezimpi zalelikhulu lamashumi amabili leminyaka. Bathi, ‘Uma lokho kuyindlela iBhayibheli elibangela abantu ukuba benze ngayo, asifuni nokulibona.’ Kodwa iqiniso liwukuthi abantu abanjalo abanecala legazi bamane balisebenzisa kabi iBhayibheli njengesembozo sokufihla izenzo zabo ezingebona ubuKristu. IBhayibheli ngokwalo lizisola kakhulu izenzo zabo, futhi libabonakalisa bengamaKristu-mbumbulu. IBhayibheli likhuthaza ukuphila ukuphila kokuziphatha okuhle ngempela.
7 Abanye abagxeki bathi iBhayibheli alivumelani nesayensi futhi liyisidala, nokuthi liyincwadi yezinganekwane. Kodwa ingabe lokhu kunjalo? Thina namuhla sidinga izimpendulo ezanelisayo emibuzweni ebalulekile ethinta ukuphila kwethu, enjengalena: Umuntu wavelaphi? Zisho ukuthini izimo ezikhona manje? Ingabe ukuphila kwesintu kuyobhujiswa phezu komhlaba? Ikusasa lisiphatheleni isintu?
8 IBhayibheli liyayiphendula lemibuzo neminye eminingi abantu abayibuza njalo. Kunokuba likhulume ngezinganekwane, iBhayibheli likhuluma ngezinto ezingokoqobo. Iqiniso liwukuthi, liye laqondisa abantu kuzo zonke izingxenye zomhlaba ukuba baphile ukuphila kwabo ngendlela ebalethela ukwaneliseka kwangempela. 9 Uma sifuna ukuthola ukuthi ukuphila kuhilelani, omunye wemibuzo ebalulekile okufanele iphendulwe uwukuthi: Kwavelaphi ukuphila? Ngamanye amazwi, Savelaphi? Ingabe ikhona injongo yokuphila kwethu? IBhayibheli lithi “uNkulunkulu wadala izulu nomhlaba.” (Genesise 1:1) Kodwa abantu abacabangayo banamuhla bayabuza: Ingabe ukhona ngempela uNkulunkulu uMninimandla onke—uMdali? Akulona yini iqiniso ukuthi abantu abaningi bakholelwa ukuthi indawo yonke ingumkhiqizo wokuziphendukela kwemvelo?
10 Wake wayihambela yini indawo enombukiso wonozungezilanga? 11 Kwakungekhulu leshumi nesishiyagalolunye leminyaka lapho uCharles Darwin aveza khona umbono wokuthi indawo yonke ingumkhiqizo wokuziphendukela kwemvelo. Kodwa ingabe nawe, ucabanga ukuthi akekho owenza konke lokhu? Ingabe ucabanga ukuthi ukuphila kwavela ngengozi? Abantu abaningi abacabangayo bawuthola untula lombono wokuziphendukela kwemvelo. Ngokwesibonelo, isazi-mlando uArnold Toynbee waphawula:

12 Yebo, ukucabanga nje ngokusobala kuyasitshela ukuthi kufanele kube khona iMbangela Yokuqala enkulu, uMdali—uNkulunkulu! Futhi uma sicabanga ngokuthi izibona-kude zabantu ezinamandla kakhulu zihlola okuncane nje ukujula kwendawo yonke yaKhe emangalisayo, kufanele sivume ngokuzithoba ukuthi ukuhlakanipha komuntu namandla akhe kwenziwa kube kuncane kakhulu ukuhlakanipha namandla kukaNkulunkulu okudlula konke. Njengoba sizobona, uNkulunkulu akanakushiyelwa ngaphandle uma sifuna ukujabulela ukuphila okuthokozisayo nokunenjongo. Kufanele ukuthi wayenenjongo ekudaleni indawo yonke, kuhlanganise nomhlaba wethu. Njengoba sifunda ngokwengeziwe ngezinjongo zakhe ezinhle, singalindela ukuthola ukuthi kunokwengeziwe kakhulu ekuphileni!
INDLELA UKUPHILA EMHLABENI OKWAQALA NGAYO
13 Ake siphendulele ukunakekela kwethu manje kulelichashazana elincane endaweni yonke—umhlaba ngokwawo. Lomhlaba unobuhle obukhethekile. Umbathiswe imibala, futhi ucetshiswe ngezinto eziphilayo ezihlukahlukene. Unokuphila kuwo. Omunye wosonkanyezi owathatha uhambo lokuya enyangeni wawuchaza ngalamazwi:
“Kuyo yonke indawo, noma kuphi lapho sibheka khona, okuwukuphela kwendawo eyayinombala othile kwakuwumhlaba. Lapho sakwazi ukubona ubuluhlaza obucwebile bezilwandle, ubumpofu nobunsundu bezwe, nobumhlophe bamafu. . . . Kwakuyinto enhle kakhulu ukuyibuka, kuwo wonke amazulu. Abantu lapha phansi abaqapheli ukuthi yini abanayo.”3
Akukho kungabaza ngokuthi lomhlaba ugqama njengetshe eliyigugu kulendawo yonke ebanzi. Ngempela ugcwele ukuphila. Futhi ngokuqinisekile kufanele kube khona injongo kukho konke lokhu kuphila! Ake sibone ukuthi singathola yini ukuthi lenjongo iyini.
14 Akunzima kakhulu ukuthola ukuthi ukuphila kwavelaphi. Umlobi weBhayibheli wabhekisela kulowoMthombo iminyaka engu-3 000 edlule lapho ethi:
“Ububele bakho, Nkulunkulu, buyigugu elingaka; . . . Ngokuba ukuwe umthombo wokuphila; ekukhanyeni kwakho siyakubona ukukhanya.”—IHubo 36:7, 9.
Abanye abagxeki beBhayibheli asebaba lukhuni kwadingeka bavume ukuthi uNkulunkulu unguMthombo wokuphila. Ngisho nokholelwa ekuziphendukeleni kwemvelo uDarwin, wavuma ukuthi ekuqaleni ukuphila kufanele ukuba “kwaphefumlelwa nguMdali ezinhlotsheni ezimbalwa noma kolulodwa.”4 Kodwa uma uNkulunkulu ekwazi ukuphefumlela ukuphila “ezinhlotsheni ezimbalwa,” kungani pho ayengenakwenza ngendlela efanayo akuphefumlele emakhulwini “ezinhlobo” ezidaliweyo, ngalunye ngesikhathi salo? IBhayibheli lithi wenza khona lokho kanye! Wadala ngayinye into ephilayo ‘ngokohlobo lwayo.’ (Genesise 1:12, 21, 24, 25) Ukudala kukaNkulunkulu umuntu wokuqala kuchazwa ngalamazwi:
“UJehova uNkulunkulu wambumba umuntu ngomhlabathi, waphefumlela emakhaleni akhe umoya wokuphila; umuntu waba-kanjalo umphefumulo ophilayo.”—Genesise 2:7.
NgokweBhayibheli, ileyondlela ukuphila komuntu okwaba khona ngayo, eminyakeni engu-6 000 edlule—ngokudalwa nguNkulunkulu ngokuqondile. Kubalulekile ukuba siliqonde leloqiniso ukuze sibone ukuthi kunokwengeziwe ekuphileni.
15 Ngokuphambene nokulandisa kweBhayibheli okuqondile ngendalo, ezinye zezincazelo zabakholelwa ekuziphendukeleni kwemvelo zizwakala njengemibono engamaphupho. Ngokwesibonelo, esinye isazi sesayensi yokuziphendukela kwemvelo sibhala ngalendlela:
“Ngesinye isikhathi, mandulo, mhlawumbe eminyakeni eyizigidi eziyizinkulungwane ezimbili nengxenye edlule, ngaphansi kwelanga elibulalayo, olwandle oluneammonia nomkhathi ongubuthi phezu kwalo, oketshezini olujiyile lwamamolecule aphilayo, kwaba khona ngengozi imolecule yenucleic acid eyayingase ngandlela-thile yenze ukuba kube khona enye efana nayo—futhi ukusukela lapho wonke amanye ayeyolandela!” (Omalukeke sizenzele)5
Ingabe lokho kukwenza ukholwe? Isazi sokuziphendukela kwemvelo uLecomte du Noüy walinganisa ukuthi lingakanani ithuba elikhona lokuba imolecule yeprotein eyodwa ikhiqize enye, ngaphansi kwezimo ezinhle, olwandle lwamakhemikhali olulingana nomhlaba. Wathi kungenzeka kuphela kanye ezigidini eziyizinkulungwane ezingu-10243 (lokho kusho u-1 olandelwa ngamaqanda angu-243) zeminyaka.6 Nokho, ingqamuzana ephilayo ayakhiwe imolecule yeprotein eyodwa, kodwa angamakhulu, kanye nezinye izinto eziningi eziyinkimbinkimbi! 16 Kunokuningi embonweni wokuziphendukela kwemvelo okungqubuzana namaqiniso! Ngokwesibonelo, kungumthetho ongenakushintshwa wezakhi zofuzo ngazo zonke izinto eziphilayo, izitshalo, izilwane, nabantu, ukuthi ngakunye kukhiqize ngokohlobo lwakho kuphela. Kungenzeka kube khona izinguquko ezithile ngaphakathi kwalolohlobo, njengoba kungabonakala ngezinhlobo eziningi zezinja. Kodwa uhlobo lwezinja luveza izinja ngaso sonke isikhathi. Alunakuhlanganiswa nekati, noma nezinye izinhlobo. Okwabadumaza kakhulu abakholelwa ekuziphendukeleni kwemvelo ukuthi, imivubukulo yasendulo etholakala ematsheni iye yahluleka ukuvela “namaketango angekho” abikezelwa okuthiwa axhuma izinhlobo ezihlukene. Ngokungaphezulu, “izinguquko,” noma ukushintsha kwamangqamuzana, cishe ngaso sonke isikhathi kuye kwaba okulimazayo—okuphambene nalokho okushiwo ukuziphendukela kwemvelo—kubantu kuye kwaveza izidalwa noma abanye abantu abakhubazekile. Akumangalisi ukuthi kungani ezinye izazi zesayensi ezinedumela elihle manje zichaza ukuziphendukela kwemvelo ngamagama anjengelithi “inganekwane,”7 “ukuqagela ngokuhlakanipha,”8 nokuthi “inganekwane enkulu kunazo zonke ezake zacasha egameni lesayensi.”9
17 Kodwa umuntu ngokwakhe akayona “inganekwane.” Uyaphila. Ukuba khona kwakhe njengesidalwa esihlakaniphile, esiqotho, esenziwe “ngomfanekiso kaNkulunkulu” futhi esibuswa unembeza, kumenza ahluke ngokuphelele kuzo zonke izinhlobo zokuphila eziphansi. Ngakho-ke kunokwengeziwe ekuphileni kunokuphila nje njengesilwane. Kukhona umhosha omkhulu ohlukanisa abantu nezilwane. Isiphi isilwane esichitha iminyaka engaba ngamashumi amabili sinakekela futhi siqeqesha umntwana waso ngamunye? Umuntu kuphela ongabonisa lezozimfanelo ezimangalisayo zothando, umusa, ukuhlakanipha, ukusungula okusha nokwazisa ubuhle, imidwebo nomculo. Bebonga ngoba baphiwe ngokucebe kangaka, akufanele yini ukuba bonke abantu abathanda ukuphila bahlanganyele neNkosi yasendulo uDavide ekubongeni kwayo: “Jehova, . . . ngiyakukubonga, ngokuba ngenziwa ngokwesabekayo nangokumangalisayo”?—IHubo 139:4, 14.
LOKHO “UKUZIPHENDUKELA KWEMVELO” OKUYE KWAKWENZA EKUPHILENI
18 Kungani ukuziphendukela kwemvelo kwamukeleka ngokushesha kubantu abaningi? Esinye isizathu siwukuthi bekuyinto ethandwa ngabantu, nesemfashinini ukuba umuntu ahambisane nayo. Futhi, kuye kwanikeza indlela yokuphunyula kubantu abazibusayo nabaziphethe kabi abafuna ‘ukwenza izinto zabo’ ngaphandle kokuba nomuzwa wokuba necala kuMdali noma emithethweni yakhe yobuqotho. KuyiOutline of History, uH. G. Wells uchaza indlela umbono wokuziphendukela kwemvelo owathuthuka ngayo, futhi uthi: “Wawungalethi lutho olwakhayo . . . ukuba uthathe isikhundla semithetho emidala yokuziphatha. 19 Isazi-mlando uWells usitshela ngomphumela owengeziwe wemfundiso yokuziphendukela kwemvelo ngalendlela: “Abantu abaphakeme . . . babekholelwa ukuthi babezuze lezozikhundla ngamandla eMzabalazweni Wokuphila, lapho abanamandla nabanobuqili bezuza khona ngababuthakathaka abathembele kubo. . . . Ngakho-ke kwabonakala kufanelekile kubona ukuba obhova emhlanjini ongabantu baqinele abanye bababuse.”11 Ngaleyondlela ukuziphendukela kwemvelo kwanikeza “eLobukholwa” ukuzithethelela ngezimpi ezibulalayo zobudlova. Incwadi ethi Evolution and Christians ithi inhlekelele yempi yezwe yokuqala ngo-1914 nobubi obeqile bakamuva bobuNazi kwabangelwa imfundiso kaDarwin.12 Ngokufanayo, ukuziphendukela kwemvelo kumelwe kuvume ukuthi nakho kunecala ekudlondlobaleni kwesimiso sokusebenzela uHulumeni. 20 Lokhu kukuthinta kanjani ukuphila kwakho siqu? Kungase kube ingozi kakhulu kuwe uma nawe ungabambeka kulombono wokuziphendukela kwemvelo. Ukuba ukuziphendukela kwemvelo kwakuyiqiniso, ukuphila kwakuyoba okungenanjongo nokungasho lutho. Kwakuyoba nje “umncintiswano” wokulwela ukuphila, nomphumela wokugcina ungukufa nje kwaphela. Ngokukholelwa ekutheni “kusinda ezinamandla,” okholelwa ekuziphendukeleni kwemvelo akanasisusa sokuthanda abanye abantu, sokuphila ukuphila okuhloniphekayo okuqotho noma sokuziphatha ngokwehlukile ezilwaneni eziyingozi. Ukuziphendukela kwemvelo kunethonya eliphambene ngokuphelele esintwini. Akunakuyinikeza impendulo eyanelisayo kunoma imiphi yemibuzo ngokuphila. Kodwa iBhayibheli lingayinikeza.
KUNGANI UKUPHILA KUGCWELE IZINKINGA KANGAKA?
21 Isimo singaqhathaniswa nomkhaya ohamba ngomgwaqo oqondile omuhle kakhulu. Uholela epharadesi elikhazimulayo. Yonke into ibonakala iqinisekisa ukuthi uhambo luyoba oluhle. Nokho, eceleni komgwaqo ubona umgwaqo obanzi onophawu oluthi: “Ingozi—Ningangeni.” Ukulangazelela ukwazi nomoya wokuzibusa uyawunqoba. Ungena kulowomgwaqo uhambe uwushiye kude umgwaqo oqondile. Ekugcineni, uthola ummango owehlela kakhulu. Manje uhamba nje uyashelela. Akusenakwenzeka ukuba ubuyele emuva emgwaqweni oqondile. Amabhuleki awasabambi. Akusekho kuma. Uya wehla emmangweni ngejubane elikhulayo. Ekugcineni ukhalakathela eweni kube ukufa kwawo.
22 IBhayibheli libonisa ukuthi kungokufanayo ngesintu. UNkulunkulu wabekela umuntu wokuqala “uphawu lomgwaqo” eNsimini Yase-Edene: ‘Ungadli ezithelweni zalomuthi owodwa nje vó.’ Indoda nomkayo kwakudingeka babonise uthando lwabo ngoNkulunkulu ngokulalela lowomyalo olula. Kodwa behluleka ukwenza kanjalo. Baphuma ngamabomu emgwaqweni oqondile bangena emgwaqweni wokona oholela ekufeni nasekubhujisweni ngaphansi kwesahlulelo sikaNkulunkulu. KumaRoma 5:12 siyafunda: “Ngakho-ke njengalokho isono sangena ezweni ngamuntu munye, nangesono kwangena ukufa, ngokunjalo ukufa kwafikela abantu bonke, lokhu bonke bonile.” Ngaleyondlela, ngenxa yokuthi siyinzalo ka-Adamu ongalalelanga, sonke kuye kwadingeka sihambe ngalendlela engathandeki, ekude kakhulu nokuphelela abazali bomkhaya wesintu ababenakho epharadesi. Yeka ukuthi lomgwaqo uye waba nezikhisi futhi waba mubi kanjani eminyakeni yamuva! Umgwaqo obanzi obheke ohlangothini olulodwa, futhi akekho ezazini zezombangazwe noma kubantu abahlakaniphile bomhlaba oye wakwazi ukubonisa umkhaya wesintu indlela yokubuya. Kubo bonke abantu abakuwona, isiphelo salomgwaqo siwukufa. Futhi ukubhujiswa kwaso sonke isintu emhlabeni kuye kwaba into enokwenzeka ngokusobala.
23 Kodwa, bheka! Kubonakala umsebe wokukhanya emgwaqweni oseceleni, indlela encane eholela emuva ukusuka emgwaqweni omkhulu ukuya koqondile. Uma uyibheka okokuqala ibukeka ingumcingo kakhulu. Kungaba nzima kakhulu ukuphendukela kuyo. Umkhaya omkhulu wabantu abahamba ngokunganaki manje abehla ngomgwaqo obanzi ukhetha ukungayinaki lendlela engumcingo. Ukhetha ukuhambisana nesixuku. Ingxenye enkulu yabantu incama lomgwaqo obanzi ngenxa yokunethezeka nezinto ezijabulisayo zesikhashana ozinikezayo. Ayizinaki ezinye izixwayiso ezinikezwayo zengozi engaphambili. Kodwa abantu abathile abaqaphile baphendukela kulomgwaqo ongumcingo. Ubanikeza ubunzima obuthile, futhi kufanele baqaphe kakhulu, kodwa ngemva kwesikhathi, uya uba muhle ukuba kuhanjwe kuwo. Futhi ekugcineni ubaholela epharadesi lenala elibuyiselwe. Yeka ukuthi kuyinjabulo kanjani ngabo ukwanelisa amehlo abo ngalelopharadesi elithokozisayo, elinokuthula!
24 Ngokuphindiwe futhi njengoba iBhayibheli libonisa, kuyefana nangomkhaya wesintu. Nakuba iningi liphikelela ekuzibuseni, futhi lihambisana nesixuku ekuhambeni ngomgwaqo obanzi oya ekubhujisweni, umgwaqo obuyayo uye wavuleka. Ngesikhathi elapha emhlabeni, uJesu, iNdodana kaNkulunkulu, wadonsela ukunakekela kulokhu, ethi: “Mina ngiyindlela, neqiniso, nokuphila.” (Johane 14:6) Ngenxa yokuthi uJesu wenza intando kaNkulunkulu ngokwethembeka emhlabeni, enikela ngisho nangokuphila kwakhe ngenxa yomkhaya wesintu, uNkulunkulu wammisa ‘njengoMmeleli oyiNhloko wokuPhila.’ Futhi weza emhlabeni “ukufakazela iqiniso” nokwenza izinjongo zikaNkulunkulu zaziwe. (IzEnzo 3:15; Johane 18:37) Uyena kuphela okwaziyo ukubonisa amalungu omkhaya wesintu indlela yokuphindela emuva emgwaqweni oqondile omuhle oholela ekujabuleleni ukuphila okujabulisayo ngokugcwele epharadesi likaNkulunkulu lasemhlabeni.
25 Ubungenakuthanda yini ukuhamba ngomgwaqo omuhle kanjalo, uqhubeke uze ufike emhlabeni okhazinyulisiwe, futhi unethemba lokuphila phakade ngempilo ephelele nenjabulo? Ngokuqinisekile, kungaba nokwengeziwe kulolohlobo lokuphila!
26 Kungokubonisa ukholo kuMmeleli kaNkulunkulu wokuPhila lapho singathola khona “indlela” yokuya kulokho kuphila. Ukuphila kuhluke kakhulu uma kunenjongo, nalapho futhi kukhona ithemba eliqinisekile, lokuphila okwanelisayo nokunomvuzo okunwebekela kude esikhathini esizayo. Futhi singalithola kanjani lelothemba? UJesu ngokwakhe uyaphendula, emthandazweni wakhe kuYise: “Ukuphila okuphakade yilokhu ukuba bazi wena-Nkulunkulu wedwa oqinisileyo, nomthumileyo, uJesu Kristu.” (Johane 17:3) Ngokuhlola imiBhalo ngenkuthalo, singalifunda iqiniso; futhi ngokulisebenzisa nsuku zonke, singakwazi ngisho namanje ukuqala ukuphila ngempela!
IZIMO ZEZWE EZITHINTA UKUPHILA KWAKHO
27 Kuyavunywa, izimo zezwe ziya zonakala. Emadolobheni amakhulu, ubumpofu nobugebengu kuyanda. Noma kuphi lapho uhlala khona, ukhokha ngaphezulu ngesinkwa osidlayo, ngenyama, futhi izindleko zokuqhubeka nje uphila zilokhu ziqhubeka zikhula. Ezindaweni eziningi, ukungabi namthetho kugcwele kuyo yonke imigwaqo. Ubudlova obengeziwe ngisho nempi kubonakala kungaqhuma ngisho nangasiphi isikhathi. Kunjengokungathi isintu sesihululuka okokugcina ngomgwaqo oya ekubhujisweni.
28 Ayini amandla abangela konke lokhu? Umuntu womoya omubi, “udrako omkhulu, inyoka endala ethiwa uMhlebi noSathane, odukisa izwe lonke.” Ubambe izintambo zokuphatha kwezizwe izindaba zezwe. Nokho, sesifikile manje isikhathi sikaNkulunkulu sokususa ukuphatha kukaSathane afake esikhundleni sakho ukubuswa kwesintu okunothando nokuvumelanayo ngombuso kaKristu wasezulwini. Kuyisikhathi saKhe ukuba abuyisele labo abathanda ukuphila emuva lé emgwaqweni oqondile ukuze bajabulele ukuphila okuphakade ngenjabulo. Kodwa uSathane akafuni ukusuka. Kungakho namuhla ‘kungumaye kuwe-mhlaba ngokuba uSathane wehlele kini enolaka olukhulu, azi ukuthi unesikhathi esifushane!’ (IsAmbulo 12:9, 12) Injongo yakhe iwukufaka isintu ekubhujisweni.
29 Akukho kungabaza ngakho! Noma kuphi lapho ubheka khona emhlabeni namuhla, kunobufakazi bokuthi “izwe lonke lisemandleni omubi,” uSathane. (1 Johane 5:19, NW) Kodwa uNkulunkulu ngeke amvumele uSathane ukuba aphumelele enhlosweni yakhe embi! Kuyiqiniso, ukubhujiswa komphakathi walelizwe sekuseduze. Kodwa uNkulunkulu uhlose ukusindisa ukuphila. Eziprofethweni ezibhalwe eBhayibhelini, uyabonisa ukuthi uyokwenza kanjani lokhu.
INDLELA ISIPROFETHO SEBHAYIBHELI ESISIZA NGAYO EKUSINDISENI UKUPHILA
30 Iziprofetho eziningi zeBhayibheli kakade seziye zagcwaliseka ngokuphawulekayo. Ngokwesibonelo, amakhulu eminyaka ngaphambi kokuba uJesu eze emhlabeni, leziprofetho zabikezela ngokuqondile iminyaka yomsebenzi wokushumayela kwakhe—29 kuya ku-33 C.E.—kanye neminye imininingwane eminingi ngokuphila kwakhe kanye nokufa. Zonke lezizinto zagcwaliseka. Futhi, uJesu ngokwakhe wabikezela ezinye iziprofetho ezivelele. Esinye salezi sasimayelana ‘nokuphela kwalesimiso sezinto.’ Sagcwaliseka ngokuphawulekayo esimisweni sezinto samaJuda ngekhulu lokuqala leminyaka.
31 NgokukaMathewu 24:3, 15-22, uJesu wakhomba phambili ekuvinjezelweni kweJerusalema “ngamanyala encithakalo,” amabutho ombuso wamaRoma. Esiprofethweni sakhe wathi lapho amaKristu ebona lokhu kwakufanele aqale ‘ukubalekela ezintabeni.’ Eminyakeni ecishe ibe ngama-33 kamuva, lapho lawomabutho afika ngempela amelana neJerusalema. Agcwalisa izici eziningi zesiprofetho sikaJesu, njengokukaka umuzi ngodonga lwempi nokungena ayokuma “endaweni engcwele,” ngasodongeni olusentshonalanga lwethempeli laseJerusalema. (Mathewu 24:15) Kodwa amaKristu ayengawushiya kanjani umuzi kulesisimo okubonakala kungenakwenzeka ukuphuma kuso?
32 Kungazelelwe, futhi ngokungenasizathu esibonakalayo, amabutho amaRoma ahlehla! Elalela umyalo kaJesu, amaKristu manje akwazi ukubalekela ezintabeni ngaphesheya koMfula iJordani ukuze asindise ukuphila kwawo. Kamuva, amabutho amaRoma abuya futhi ngaphansi kukaJenene Titus, futhi ngo-70 C.E. iJerusalema nethempeli lalo kwabhuqwa kwaphela nyá. Ngokwesazi-mlando uJosephus, ukuvimbezela, indlala, nenkemba kwabulala ukuphila kwamaJuda angu-1 100 000 ayeshisekela izwe, kwathi angu-97 000 athathwa eyizithunjwa ayiswa ebugqilini. Kodwa lawo ayekuthanda ngempela ukuphila akusindisa ukuphila kwawo ngokulalela isiprofetho seBhayibheli!
33 UJesu wayesebenzisa lezizenzakalo ezibikezelwe zekhulu lokuqala leminyaka njengesibonelo sezenzakalo ezinyakazisa izwe ezazisazokwehlela isizukulwane esisukela ku-1914 C.E. kuqhubeke. Ukuphila kusadinga ukusindiswa nanamuhla! Ngoba manje sesifike ‘esiphelweni salesimiso sezinto,’ sonke isimiso sezwe esilawulwa uSathane. Yeka indlela esobala izenzakalo ezisukela ku-1914 ezikubonakalisa ngayo lokhu ukuthi kuyiqiniso! Ekugcwalisekeni kokugcina kwesiprofetho sikaJesu, ngalowonyaka kwaba khona “ukuqala kwemihelo” njengoba ‘isizwe sasivukela isizwe’ emathantaleni egazi leMpi Yezwe I. Njengoba kwabikezelwa, lokhu kwalandelwa “ukuzamazama okukhulu komhlaba . . . nobici nendlala.” Kwalandela impi yezwe yesibili, eyayesabeka kakhulu kuneyokuqala, futhi “ukwanda kobubi” manje kukhathaza umhlaba. (Mathewu 24:7-13; Luka 21:10, 11) Izizwe zisosizini. Asikho esazi indlela yokuphuma kulo.
34 Kodwa uNkulunkulu uyazi! Ekhuluma ngokwahlulela kwakhe imibuso enobugovu, noma izizwe zomhlaba, uNkulunkulu uthi “uyakumisa umbuso ongasoze wachithwa,” nalowo futhi “oyakuchoboza, uqede yonke lemibuso.” (Daniyeli 2:44) Uyobe usubuyisela ukuphila ngaphansi kwezimo zokuthula kubo bonke abaye bamukela ukubusa koMbuso kaJesu. Ukuze asize bonke abantu abanjalo abafuna ukuphila, amaKristu eqiniso namuhla enza umsebenzi osindisa ukuphila ekugcwalisekeni kwengxenye elandelayo yesiprofetho sikaJesu esikhulu: “Lezi zindaba ezinhle zombuso ziyoshunyayelwa kuwo wonke umhlaba owakhiwe ngenjongo yobufakazi kuzo zonke izizwe; khona-ke ukuphela kuyofika.”—Mathewu 24:14, NW.
35 Yebo, sinesithakazelo esikhulu sokwazi ukuthi kunini lapho “ukuphela kuyofika” khona. Ngoba ngempela ukuphila kwethu kuhilelekile! KuJobe 24:1 siyafunda: “Usuku lokulandisa aluyona imfihlakalo kuMninimandla onke, nakuba labo abamaziyo bengenawo umbono wokuthi lolosuku lunini ngokuqondile.” (The New English Bible) Kodwa kumelwe ukuba luseduze kakhulu! Ngoba uJesu uthi ngokuqondene nabantu ababona “ukuqala kwemihelo” ngo-1914 C.E.: “Lesisizukulwane asiyikudlula kungakenzeki konke lokhu.” (Mathewu 24:34) Okuhlanganisiwe kukho “konke lokhu” ukubhujiswa komphakathi owonakele wanamuhla, njengoba uJesu ayekuchazile: “Ngokuba lapho kuyakuba-khona usizi olukhulu olungazange lube-khona kwasekuqaleni kwezwe kuze kube-manje nolungasayikuba-khona. Uma lezozinsuku zingafinyezwanga, bekungesindiswe-muntu; kepha ngenxa yabakhethiweyo lezozinsuku ziyakufinyezwa.” (Mathewu 24:21, 22) Uma “usizi olukhulu” lwalungayikufinyezwa, abantu babeyozibulala ngokwabo baphele emhlabeni! Kodwa ngokujabulisayo, bonke labo abathanda uNkulunkulu bangasindisa ukuphila kwabo. “UJehova uyalondoloza bonke abamthandayo, kepha ababi bonke uyakubabhubhisa.” (IHubo 145:20) Uma ulalela isiprofetho seBhayibheli, nawe futhi ungasinda uqhubeke uphila.
INDLELA YOKUSINDELA EKUPHILENI OKUPHAKADE
36 Ingabe uyoba phakathi kwabayosinda? Lokho kuxhomeke ekuthini uyawushiya yini umgwaqo omkhulu oya ekubhujisweni. Kuxhomeke ekulaleleni kwakho izimpawu zomgwaqo ezisendleleni eya ekuphileni. Uma ukufuna ngempela ukuphila, akunzima kakhulu. Kusho ukufunda ukuthanda uNkulunkulu nomakhelwane. Njengoba eyoku-1 Johane 5:3 iphawula, “Ngokuba ukuthanda uNkulunkulu yilokhu ukuba sigcine imiyalo yakhe; nemiyalo yakhe ayinzima.” Ezinye zezinto azidingayo kithina ziphawulwe ekuqaleni kwayo lencwadi kaJohane (1Jo 2:15-17):
“Ningathandi izwe nezinto ezisezweni. Uma umuntu ethanda izwe, uthando lukaYise alukho kuye, ngokuba konke okusezweni, inkanuko yenyama, nenkanuko yamehlo, nokuzigabisa ngalokhukuphila, akuveli kuYise, kodwa kuvela ezweni. Izwe liyadlula kanye nenkanuko yalo; kepha owenza intando kaNkulunkulu uhlala kuze kube-phakade.”
Ukuze sihlale siphila phakade, samukele isivikelo nomusa kaNkulunkulu sichushe ‘osizini olukhulu’ sidlulele epharadesi elibuyiselwe, kufanele sifulathele izinto uNkulunkulu azizondayo—ukuziphatha okubi, ukuhaha, ukungathembeki, ukuqamba amanga, ukweba nezimpi zezwe. Ngokwenza lokhu singenza ukuba ngisho namanje ukuphila kube nenzuzo.
37 UJesu ngokwakhe wathi ngabafundi bakhe: “Abasibo abezwe, njengalokhu nami angisiye owezwe.” (Johane 17:16) Singakusebenzisa kanjani lokhu ekuphileni kwethu? Kusho ukuthi kufanele sizihlukanise ezinjongweni nasezimisweni zezwe eliphikelele ekubhujisweni elingaphansi kukankulunkulu walo nombusi, uSathane “omubi.” Ekuphileni kwethu kwansuku zonke, sidinga ukungahlanganyeli emisebenzini yezwe engqubuzana nokubusa kukaNkulunkulu. Njengoba uMathewu 24:3 no-25:31 ebonisa, isibonakaliso “sesiphelo salesimiso sezinto” siyisibonakaliso futhi “sokuba khona” kukaJesu ezulwini enamandla oMbuso. Ngakho-ke, kusukela ngonyaka ka-1914, kugcwaliseka isiprofetho futhi sokuthi “umbuso wezwe usungoweNkosi yethu [uNkulunkulu] nokaKristu wayo; iyakubusa kuze kube-phakade naphakade.” (IsAmbulo 11:15) Manje sekuyisikhathi sokusekela lowombuso! Ukuphila kwethu kwesikhathi esizayo kuxhomeke embusweni kaNkulunkulu. Khona-ke, kungenzeka yini ukuba sisekele ngobuqotho izimpi, ukuvukelwa kwemibuso, izinhlangano zezombangazwe noma amacebo ezwe esikhathi sethu? Lezizinto nakanjani zizohluleka enjongweni yazo. Ngoba zithi zenza lokho okuwumbuso kaNkulunkulu kuphela ongakwenza. Sonke lesimiso sinqunyelwe ukubhujiswa. Pho kungani uhlanganyela ekuzameni ukusiciciyela? Kunalokho asisekele ngenhliziyo yonke ikhambi eliqinisekile—umbuso kaNkulunkulu!
38 Ingabe lokhu kusho ukuthi masibe amaphekula? Lutho neze! Ngoba “uNkulunkulu akasiye owesiyaluyalu kepha ngowokuthula.” (1 Korinte 14:33) Uma nje ohulumeni abakhona besaqhubeka, uNkulunkulu ulindele ukuba sihloniphe imithetho yabo futhi sihloniphe nababusi babo. AmaRoma 13:1 athi: “Akube yilowo nalowo azithobe phansi kwamandla ombuso.” Lokhu kusho ukunika “uKesari” (uhulumeni) okumfaneleyo ngokukhokha izintela nokugcina yonke imithetho, uma ingangqubuzani nomthetho kaNkulunkulu.—Marku 12:17.
39 Ngaphezu kokubonisa uthando ngoNkulunkulu, kufanele sibonise uthando ngomakhelwane wethu. Kukuphi lapho singaqala khona kangcono ngaphandle kwasemikhayeni yethu! Kodwa singakwenza kanjani lokhu? IBhayibheli liphendula kalula, kweyabaseKolose 3:18-21, lithi:
“Bafazi, thobelani amadoda enu njengokufanele eNkosini. Madoda, thandani omkenu, ningabacasukeli. Bantwana, lalelani abazali benu ezintweni zonke, ngokuba lokho kuyathandeka eNkosini. Boyise, ningabathukuthelisi abantwana benu ukuba bangadangali.”
Isisekelo esihle ngempela, sokwakha umkhaya onobunye! Futhi hhayi emkhayeni kuphela, kodwa futhi nasebuhlotsheni bethu nabanye, singazihlakulela izimfanelo ‘ezinjengobubele benhliziyo, nesisa, nokuzithoba, nobumnene, nokubheka-kade.’ Iyiphi into eyinhloko? “Kepha phezu kwakho konke lokho, yembathani uthando oluyisibopho sokuphelela.”—Kolose 3:12, 14.
40 Ungase ubuze, Ingabe likhona iqembu labantu emhlabeni elilubonisa ngempela loluthando lukaNkulunkulu nomakhelwane? Likhona iqembu elinjalo. Uma kukhona iHholo LoMbuso endaweni yakini, kudingeka nje ufune uze ufike khona ukuze uthole leloqembu. Iqembu elihlanganisa izizwe zonke, elifinyelela izigidi. Ngokuyinhloko, lenziwa abantu nje abavamile, abangahlukile kakhulu ngezizinda zabo kunomakhelwane abaningi babo, futhi ngokuvamile basebenza umsebenzi ofanayo njengabantu abahlala nabo. Kodwa uthando lwabo oluyinhloko lungolukaNkulunkulu wabo. Babheka phambili ekwenziweni kwentando yaKhe emhlabeni, futhi baphila ukuphila kwabo ngokufanele. Ngakho-ke, bayashiseka ekufundeni iBhayibheli, ekusebenziseni izimiso zalo ekuphileni kwabo kwansuku zonke nasekutsheleni omakhelwane babo ngesigijimi salo. BangoFakazi BakaJehova abangamaKristu. Kungani ungahlangani nabo eHholo LoMbuso elisemphakathini wakini? Uyothola ukuthi akukho mikhuba enemicikilisho eyenziwayo, akukho puleti lenkongozelo elihanjiswayo, akukho nkonzo eyisiko egcinwayo. Esikhundleni salokho, uyothola abantu abanezinhliziyo ezifudumele labo ngisho namanje abathola ukwaneliseka okukhulu ekuphileni, nababheke phambili ekuphileni okuphakade benokuphelela emhlabeni oyipharadesi.
41 Awunakuthanda yini ukuhlanganyela nabantu abanalelithemba nabaphila ngalo? Banobunye bomhlaba wonke obuye balethwa ukuphila ngezimiso zeBhayibheli. Phakathi kwabo ngokwabo baye baxazulula izinkinga lezo izizwe eziye zatikatikeka nazo ngokungaphumeleli amakhulu eminyaka, njengempi, ubuhlanga nobuzwe. Ngenxa yokuthi baphila ngeBhayibheli, ngokuyisisekelo bakhululekile ezinkingeni ezihlobene nobudlova, ubugebengu, ukungathembeki nokuziphatha okubi phakathi kwabo ngokwabo. Abakhathazwa izinkinga ekuhlalisaneni. Ngisho noma omunye phakathi kwabo engona ngokungathi sína, nakuba lokhu kungavamile, uyabuyiswa ngomusa nangothando uma ephenduka. Ngokwazi ukuthi uNkulunkulu “wazenza izizwe zonke ngagazi linye ukuba zakhe ebusweni bomhlaba,” abavumeli indlela ababheka ngayo umuntu ngamunye ithonywe isikhundla salowomuntu emphakathini, imfundo yakhe noma ukuntuleka kwayo, isizwe sakhe noma ibala lesikhumba sakhe.—IzEnzo 17:26.
ISIZATHU ESENZA KUBE NOKWENGEZIWE EKUPHILENI!
42 Labo abathanda ukuphila nabathatha isinyathelo manje sokusindisa ukuphila kwabo balindelwe ikusasa elikhazimulayo. Liyoba njani lelokusasa? Akunakuba njengokuphila okuyisicefe abaningi besintu ababhekene nakho namhlanje. “Izinto zakuqala”—ukudabuka, ukufa nobuhlungu balesimiso sezinto—kuyobe “sekudlulile.” Khona-ke, kuyolandelani? UNkulunkulu ngokwakhe uthi: “Bheka! Ngenza konke kube-kusha.” (IsAmbulo 21:4, 5) Esimisweni esisha sezinto, inkosi yasezulwini, uJesu Kristu, uyobusa ngothando ‘njengoYise ongunaphakade’ phezu kwawo wonke umkhaya wesintu. “Ukuthula kungabi-nakuphela esihlalweni sobukhosi [bakhe] sikaDavide nasembusweni wakhe.” Ukwahlulela nokulunga kuyoba izisekelo zalowombuso. (Isaya 9:6, 7) Yeka indlela ukuphila okuyokwanelisa ngayo futhi kujabulise ngayo ngaphansi kwalezo zimo! Kuyoba nenjongo ekwenzeni intando kaNkulunkulu phezu komhlaba kanye nokuthanda umakhelwane wethu. UJesu usiqinisekisa ukuthi ngisho nalabo abasemathuneni “bayakulizwa izwi layo” baphume ukuze bajabulele lowomhlaba oyipharadesi.—Johane 5:28, 29.
43 ‘Lesimiso sezinto samanje esibi’ sesisondele ekuphumeni emgwaqweni obanzi singene ekubhujisweni. Kodwa akufanele uphonseke kanye naso. Ngokuhlanganyela nabantu bakaNkulunkulu—abathanda ukuphila—ungase usindise ukuphila kwakho lapho uNkulunkulu efika ukuzobhubhisa izizwe zomhlaba ezinecala legazi:
“Wozani, bantu bami, ningene emakamelweni enu, nizivalele iminyango, nicashe ngokuphazima kweso, kuze kudlule ulaka. Ngokuba bhekani, uJehova uyaphuma endaweni yakhe ukuba ahambele ububi babakhileyo emhlabeni; umhlaba uyakubonakalisa igazi lawo, ungabe usabasibekela ababuleweyo babo.”—Isaya 26:20, 21.
44 Ngakho-ke, ngokuqala ukuphila ukuphila koqobo manje, ngokwezindinganiso zeBhayibheli, ungase uhlanganyele nomphakathi wabantu bakaNkulunkulu onentshiseko, obheke phambili ekudluleni uphila uwele ‘osizini olukhulu,’ ungaphinde ufe kulomhlaba. Yebo, kungashiwo ngesibindi, ukuthi “isixuku esikhulu” esiphilayo manje singase singabe sisafa!
45 Emphakathini ophilayo woFakazi bakhe kuwo wonke umhlaba, uJehova uye waveza okuthile okusebenzayo ngisho namanje! Kungakusebenzela nawe futhi! Futhi kuyosebenza ngokuvelele emhlabeni oyipharadesi, lapho ekugcineni “konke okuphefumulayo” kuyodumisa uMniki-Kuphila omkhulu, uJehova uNkulunkulu. (IHubo 150:6) Ngempela, kukhona okwengeziwe ekuphileni!
