1. Ngokucabangela inani labantu asebeke baphila, kungani ithemba lovuko libalulekile, kodwa imiphi imibuzo efika engqondweni?
KUKHONA ukucabangela inani labantu asebeke baphila emhlabeni okuhlukahlukene kusukela ezinkulungwaneni eziyi-14 zezigidi kuya ezinkulungwaneni ezingama-20 zezigidi. Kungakhathaliseki ukuthi inani eliqondile lingase libe yini, amaqiniso amabili aqinisekile: (1) UJehova uNkulunkulu uyalazi ngokuqondile inani labantu asebeke baphila, futhi unamandla okubuyisela ekuphileni noma imuphi amkhethayo; (2) inani labakhileyo ezweni namuhla elingakaze libe khona labantu abayizinkulungwane eziyi-4,4 zezigidi ngokusobala liyiqhezu elincane lengqikithi yabantu asebeke baphila. 2. Yini uPetru ayisho ngokuqondene nokuvuka kukaKristu nokuhlangana kwaKhe nethemba lovuko?
2 Ngonyaka ka-36 C.E. umphostoli uPetru wathi: “Nembala ngiyabona ukuthi uNkulunkulu akabheki ubuso bamuntu, kodwa ezizweni zonke omesabayo nowenza ukulunga uyamukeleka kuye. . . . UNkulunkulu wamvusa [uJesu Kristu] ngosuku lwesithathu, wamnika ukuba abonakale, kungekubantu bonke kodwa kithina esingofakazi abakhethwé nguNkulunkulu ngaphambili, esasidla siphuza naye ngemva kokuvuka kwakhe kwabafileyo. Wasiyala ukuba sishumayele kubantu, sifakaze ukuthi: Nguye omiswé nguNkulunkulu ukuba abe nguMahluleli wabaphilayo nabafileyo. Ngaye bonke abaprofethi bafakaza ukuthi ngegama lakhe bonke abakholwa nguye bayakwamukela ukuthethelelwa kwezono.”—IzEnzo 10:34-43.
3. (a) Kungani izinkulungwane zezigidi eziningi kangaka zabantu zifile? (b) Chaza indlela ukufa nokuvuka kukaKristu okuyisisekelo ngayo sethemba lovuko.
3 Yebo, isizathu sokuba kunqwabelane izinkulungwane zezigidi zabantu abafile ethuneni siyisono, esazuzwa njengefa kumuntu wokuqala uAdamu. “Ngakho-ke njengalokhu isono sangena ezweni ngamuntu munye, nangesono kwangena ukufa, ngokunjalo ukufa kwafikela abantu bonke. . . . Ngesiphambeko samuntu munye ukufa kwabusa.” (Roma 5:12, 17) Kodwa uKristu wafa futhi wa“philiswa emoyeni.” (1 Petru 3:18) Ngokholo egazini lakhe elopha, “bonke,” phakathi kwa“baphilayo nabafileyo,” bangathola ‘ukuthethelelwa kwezono’ futhi bakhululwe ekubuseni okunonya kweNkosi uKufa. 5 Phakathi kwalamakhosi nabahluleli bokuqala besikhathi esizayo abafa njengofakazi abathembekile bakaJesu noYise wakhe, uJehova, kwakungabaphostoli abayishumi nanye abathembekile.
