9 Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hand on him;+ and the Israelites began to listen to him, and they did just as Jehovah had commanded Moses.+

16 And you should anoint Jeʹhu+ the grandson of Nimʹshi as king over Israel, and you should anoint E·liʹsha* the son of Shaʹphat from Aʹbel-me·hoʹlah as prophet to take your place.+

17 Also, he will go ahead of him with E·liʹjah’s spirit and power,+ to turn back the hearts of fathers to children+ and the disobedient ones to the practical wisdom of righteous ones, in order to get ready for Jehovah a prepared people.”+
