38 for I have come down from heaven+ to do, not my own will, but the will of him who sent me.+

23 He went on to say to them: “You are from the realms below; I am from the realms above.+ You are from this world; I am not from this world.

42 Jesus said to them: “If God were your Father, you would love me,+ for I came from God and I am here. I have not come of my own initiative, but that One sent me.+

47 The first man is from the earth and made of dust;+ the second man is from heaven.+

8 For it says:* “When he ascended on high he carried away captives; he gave gifts in men.”+ 9 Now what does the expression “he ascended” mean but that he also descended into the lower regions, that is, the earth? 10 The very one who descended is also the one who ascended+ far above all the heavens,+ so that he might give fullness to all things.*
