9 You care for the earth,

Making it abundantly fruitful* and very rich.+

The stream from God is full of water;

You provide grain for them,+

For that is how you prepared the earth.

10 You drench its furrows and level off its plowed soil;*

You soften it with showers of rain; you bless its growth.+

 8 The One who covers the heavens with clouds,

The One providing rain for the earth,+

The One making grass sprout+ on the mountains.

“Let us now fear Jehovah our God,

The One who gives the rain in its season,

Both the autumn rain and the spring rain,

The One who guards for us the appointed weeks of the harvest.”+
