23 You should know well the appearance of your flock.

15 When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter: “Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?” He replied to him: “Yes, Lord, you know I have affection for you.” He said to him: “Feed my lambs.”+

11 And he gave some as apostles,+ some as prophets,+ some as evangelizers,+ some as shepherds and teachers,+

2 Shepherd the flock of God+ under your care, serving as overseers,* not under compulsion, but willingly before God;+ not for love of dishonest gain,+ but eagerly; 3 not lording it over those who are God’s inheritance,+ but becoming examples to the flock.+ 4 And when the chief shepherd+ has been made manifest, you will receive the unfading crown of glory.+
