UKWAHLULWA KOBUKUMKANI
UYerobhoham nabantu beza kuKumkani uRehobhoham baze bamcele ukuba awenze khaphukhaphu umthwalo ababewuthwaliswe nguSolomon uyise. Kunokuba enze ngokuvisisana nesicelo sabo, uRehobhoham uboyikisa ngokubathwalisa umthwalo onzima ngakumbi. Izizwe ezilishumi ziyavukela zize zenze uYerobhoham ukumkani wazo. Ubukumkani buyahlukana. URehobhoham ulawula ubukumkani basezantsi, obubunjwa sisizwe sakwaYuda nakwaBhenjamin, aze yena uYerobhoham alawule izizwe ezilishumi zakwaSirayeli.

18:21—Kwakutheni ukuze abantu bathule xa uEliya ecela ukuba balandele uYehova okanye uBhahali? Mhlawumbi baqonda ukuba babesilele ukuzinikela ngokupheleleyo kuYehova baze baziva benetyala. Okanye mhlawumbi babeqaqadeke kangangokuba babe ngaboni nto iphosakeleyo ekunquleni uBhahali ngoxa babesithi bangabakhonzi bakaYehova. Kwaba semva kokuba uYehova ebonakalise amandla akhe apho bathi: “UYehova nguThixo oyinyaniso! UYehova nguThixo oyinyaniso!”—1 Kumkani 18:39.
20:34—Emva kokuba uYehova enike uAhabhi uloyiso phezu kwamaSiriya, kwakutheni ukuze uAhabhi amsindise ukumkani, uBhen-hadadi? Xa uMoses wayenika oonyana bakaSirayeli uMthetho kwiNtaba yeSinayi, wathi: “Yabona, ndibeka phambi kwenu namhlanje intsikelelo nesiqalekiso: intsikelelo, ukuba nithe nayithobela imiyalelo kaYehova uThixo wenu endiniyalela yona namhlanje; nesiqalekiso, ukuba nithe anayithobela imiyalelo kaYehova uThixo wenu, nasuka naphambuka endleleni endiniyalela yona namhlanje.”—Duteronomi 11:26-28.
