5 Now if you will strictly obey my voice and keep my covenant, you will certainly become my special property* out of all peoples,+ for the whole earth belongs to me.+

2 Jehovah our God made a covenant with us in Horʹeb.+

9 When I went up the mountain to receive the stone tablets,+ the tablets of the covenant that Jehovah made with you,+ I remained on the mountain 40 days and 40 nights,+ eating no food and drinking no water.

19 For when Moses had spoken every commandment of the Law to all the people, he took the blood of the young bulls and of the goats, with water, scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled the book* and all the people, 20 saying: “This is the blood of the covenant that God has commanded you to keep.”+
