41 However, Eʹsau harbored animosity against Jacob because of the blessing his father had given him,+ and Eʹsau kept saying in his heart: “The days of mourning for my father are getting closer.+ After that I am going to kill Jacob my brother.”

31 As long as the son of Jesʹse is alive on the earth, you and your kingship will not be firmly established.+ So now send someone to bring him to me, for he must die.”*+

11 For this is the message that you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another;+ 12 not like Cain, who originated with the wicked one and slaughtered his brother.+ And for what reason did he slaughter him? Because his own works were wicked,+ but those of his brother were righteous.+
