8 He said: “Look out that you are not misled,+ for many will come on the basis of my name, saying, ‘I am he,’ and, ‘The due time is near.’ Do not go after them.+

8 Look out that no one takes you captive by means of the philosophy and empty deception+ according to human tradition, according to the elementary things of the world+ and not according to Christ;

3 Let no one lead you astray* in any way, because it will not come unless the apostasy+ comes first and the man of lawlessness+ gets revealed, the son of destruction.+
