22 He may eat the bread of his God from the most holy things+ and from the holy things.+

10 “‘No unauthorized person* may eat anything holy.+ No foreign guest of a priest or hired worker may eat anything holy.

4 But the priest answered David: “There is no ordinary bread on hand, but there is holy bread+—provided that the young men have kept away from women.”*+

6 So the priest gave him the holy bread,+ because there was no bread there except the showbread, which had been removed from Jehovah’s presence to be replaced by fresh bread on the day it was taken away.

3 He said to them: “Have you not read what David did when he and the men with him were hungry?+ 4 How he entered into the house of God and they ate the loaves of presentation,+ something that it was not lawful for him or those with him to eat, but for the priests only?+

3 But in reply Jesus said to them: “Have you never read what David did when he and the men with him were hungry?+ 4 How he entered into the house of God and received the loaves of presentation and ate and gave some to the men with him, which it is not lawful for anyone to eat but for the priests only?”+
