18 On that day Jehovah made with Aʹbram a covenant,+ saying: “To your offspring* I will give this land,+ from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Eu·phraʹtes:+

31 “I will set your boundary from the Red Sea to the sea of the Phi·lisʹtines and from the wilderness to the River;*+ for I will give the inhabitants of the land into your hand, and you will drive them out from before you.+

2 “Give these instructions to the Israelites: ‘When you go into the land of Caʹnaan,+ this is the land that will fall to you as an inheritance, the land of Caʹnaan according to its boundaries.+

3 “‘Your southern border will extend from the wilderness of Zin alongside Eʹdom, and your south boundary on the east will be from the extremity of the Salt Sea.*+

7 Turn and set out for the mountainous region of the Amʹor·ites+ and toward all their neighbors in the Arʹa·bah,+ the mountainous region, the She·pheʹlah, the Negʹeb, and the seacoast,+ the land of the Caʹnaan·ites, and Lebʹa·non,*+ up to the great river, the river Eu·phraʹtes.+

15 The land allotted*+ to the tribe of Judah for their families extended to the boundary of Eʹdom,+ the wilderness of Zin, to the Negʹeb at its southern end.

4 Then it passed on to Azʹmon+ and extended to the Wadi* of Egypt,+ and the boundary ended at the Sea.* This was their southern boundary.
