24 Then Jesus said to his disciples: “If anyone wants to come after me, let him disown himself and pick up his torture stake and keep following me.+ 25 For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.+

34 He now called the crowd to him with his disciples and said to them: “If anyone wants to come after me, let him disown himself and pick up his torture stake and keep following me.+ 35 For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and for the sake of the good news will save it.+

23 Then he went on to say to all: “If anyone wants to come after me, let him disown himself+ and pick up his torture stake day after day and keep following me.+

27 Whoever does not carry his torture stake and come after me cannot be my disciple.+
