16 “Dan+ will judge his people as one of the tribes of Israel.+

16 So Jehovah would raise up judges who would save them from the hand of their plunderers.+

13 Again the Israelites did what was bad in Jehovah’s eyes,+ and Jehovah gave them into the hand of the Phi·lisʹtines+ for 40 years.

5 Look! You will conceive and give birth to a son, and no razor should touch his head,+ because the child will be a Nazʹi·rite of God from birth,* and he will take the lead in saving Israel out of the hand of the Phi·lisʹtines.”+

31 Later his brothers and all his father’s family came down to take him back. They brought him up and buried him between Zorʹah+ and Eshʹta·ol in the tomb of Ma·noʹah+ his father. He had judged Israel for 20 years.+

32 And what more will I say? For time will fail me if I go on to relate about Gidʹe·on,+ Baʹrak,+ Samson,+ Jephʹthah,+ David,+ as well as Samuel+ and the other prophets.
